Children Program
Why should children take Martial Arts?
Children benefit from Martial Arts in many ways:
- Self Defense - Learning to avoid conflict without fighting is the goal but, if necessary, our students develop the skills needed to defend themselves.
- Respect - At the core of martial arts training is discipline and respect. Children gain a sense of respect not only for others but also for themselves.
- Focus and Discipline - Our class structure instills focus and discipline in a non threatening environment.
Our family has been thrilled with our son's progress in learning Taekwondo.. As a parent, I am comforted knowing important topics like strangers and bullies are being addressed and the kids are learning how to properly deal with these situations. When my daughter gets a little bigger, I plan on enrolling her as well. There are about 6 kids in my son's kindergarten class at his school that attend School of Martial Arts and that also gives him a sense of fitting in with his peers.

- Confidence - Children gain confidence with each belt they earn as well as learn strikes and techniques to help defend themselves.
- "I Can" attitude - Martial arts give children a winning "I Can!" attitude to help them succeed in tackling the many challenges they may face.
- Goal setting - These life skills help them achieve their goals and reach their fullest potential. Our staff is dedicated to set your child up for success!
| My son loved your school from his first break of the board. It has taught him confidence and respect which are two traits that are valuable in today's world. These traits are passed down through his schoolwork and how he treats others. The instructors go out of their way to know my family and acknowledge their presence at the school. They have made him feel important and valued. He looks up to all of the instructors as mentors. Maria S. – mother of student at Mccutcheon Elementary School |
